Today’s Discussion Topic: What is your zodiac sign and does it fit your personality?
I was born on September 12, which makes me a Virgo. This is actually about all I knew regarding my zodiac besides that Virgo is the sign of the virgin. I had to look up what a Virgo’s personality was supposed to be like in order to write the rest of this blog post.
One of the first things I saw is that Virgo’s element is earth. My first impression was that this does not fit my personality because I am a water person. I was a swim instructor/lifeguard for 5 years and while I don’t miss the lifeguarding part so much, I miss being in the water. I love being in the water.
The next thing I saw that were some keywords used to describe Virgo’s: helpful, reliable, analytical, inflexible and interfering. I don’t know about analytical, but I feel like the rest of those words apply to me.
And then I found this: “Virgo exists in the mind, everything is inside. To the world, Virgo presents a calm and collected exterior, but on the inside, nervous uncontrolled intensity in the mind, trying to figure things out, how to improve everything, analyzing and thinking. Omigod, this is me. I am a perfectionist in almost everything. This is probably why most of my blog posts come out so late. I can’t let them go until they are perfect.
There are parts of Virgo that do not fit my personality: I’m not particularly observant, I look at my problems emotionally and I do my best to be open-minded. However, there is a lot of things that are characteristics of a Virgo that match almost perfectly with my personality. Hmm I guess you do learn something every day.
